One of the very few movies I stopped watching - this one third of the way through: 6 Underground (on Netflix). What a disappointment - 4/10.

I thought this was a fantastic Movie.

Especially as it was for Netflix, Nexflix is all about Quantity not Quality.

The movie was star studded, great action and the start of a 9 part series.

I would give this an 8/10 personally. Ryan does some of his Deadpool stuff which lets it down ( I rate Deadpool about a 3 and Deadpool 2 about a 2 )

I would not say "fantastic" but mildly enjoyable with a bottle of wine or some such stimulant.

Rise of Skywalker

So this will be the last Star Wars movie?

With Disney involved, I highly doubt that, but yeah it's being presented as the end of the Rey trilogy concept.

Ah, so just the end of one particular story-line?

I vaguely remember hearing something about this being the last Star Wars movie and I thought it seemed weird that Disney would buy it and then kill it off.

Just found an article: 'Rise Of Skywalker' Is The Last 'Star Wars' Film For A While; Blame 'Avatar' And 'Aquaman'

Bob Iger confirmed yesterday morning that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is both the end of the ongoing Skywalker/Solo saga (which began, obviously, in 1977 with Star Wars) and the last theatrical Star Wars movie for a while. That’s not news in and of itself since we knew that the Star Wars Story movies were on the backburner after Solo earned just $394 million worldwide. While we know that there are two standalone Star Wars trilogies in development, one via Rian Johnson (who directed The Last Jedi) and another from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (two of the creators of the just-about-to-end Game of Thrones show), it’s not like those movies are gearing up to shoot anytime soon.

It's the last Luke Skywalker based Star Wars movie......there's still going to be tv shows, animated stuff and other films.

I was out today and it came across the radio it's on track to be the worst rated Star Wars movie to date......Which is odd as I always the Jar Jar one would keep that record lol (imo).

Rise of Skywalker - People are overly cynical.  It's a fun film.  Take it at face value and you'll be fine.  Don't expect plot, there's never been any in the whole saga anyway.  But to say it's worse than any of the prequels is bonkers.  If you were to uplift The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker as a double-feature they work together really well, but they're just different to the rest of the films.  You can't win - people say there's too much fan service, but last time they said it was too much of a departure from the familiar.  Can't people just have some simple fun at the movies anymore?

The Benioff/Weiss one isn't happening anymore.  That info is out of date.

Just seen Star Wars Episode IX. I went in without too high expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it and thought it had a good combination of entertainment and fan service. I liked the fact that it completed both the ‘Rey’ trilogy and the Skywalker ‘trilogy of trilogies’. Not too much SJW stuff either.

Triple Frontier (Netflix)

Five special force mates steal gazillions from a South American drug lord. All they need to do is get the cash out of the country.

Great cast, great action, ridiculous plot (check brain out before watching). Recommended.

From your description I thought it would be a documentary about scammers... "I am Lt Col Parks and I have a proposition for you. I need to get money out of Colombia, but need someone with the same name as yours to sign the papers. In exchange for helping us get UNITED STATES DOLLARS FIVE MILLION out of the country you can keep 25% of the total. Please reply but don't tell anyone about this."

The Irishman 8/10 - finally got to see it last night and we watched it on a large projection screen on brand new media room lazyboy seats. 😀🍷

The cgi de-aging though well done was a bit disconcerting considering I have grown up with these actors. I wonder if I should go back and watch Robert De Niro's Taxi Driver or Al Pacino in Serpico or Joe Pesci in Raging Bull. Be interesting to see how accurate this process was/is.

Star Wars - Rise of Skywalker - Can't understand what people are complaining about, it was in my opinion, fantastic! Closed all the essential storylines, had a pretty satisfying ending and was action-packed enough to sort most peoples action cravings. 9/10

Kalifornia 7/10 Hadn't watched this in quite a long time. Brad Pitt over acts as the sadist on a killing spree but overall not bad. Juliette Lewis is a bit irritating.

It struck me how violent it was. I wonder if movies now aren't as violent as they were when this one was made and I'm failing to think of anything I've seen lately that matches the level in this one. Certainly I've watched plenty with murders and beatings eg Sicario but not necessarily with the same sadistic side to them.

I went to a midnight screening. Thought it was ok - wasn't blown away by it but also wasn't disappointed.

It was visually stunning and definitely entertaining but it required turning off of the brain at the door. 6/10 as an actual movie goes but it will make lots of money and people will, in the main, be happy they saw it. One thing that I did not like was the number of times they seemed to be pretending that large parts of The Last Jedi did not happen or were irrelevant. If JJ had got to do all three movies and they had a cohesive story arc throughout it would have been vastly improved.
