We will retire on the South Island, we just haven't decided yet.

I'm sorry, you seem to have received incorrect information somewhere. You're supposed to move to Kerikeri (NZ's Florida) when you retire, not the South Island.

I thought everyone's plan was to retire to Mt Maunganui/Papamoa.

Declaring something over the personal limit for imported items as we entered through customs yesterday and not getting pinged for tax.

It seems so inconsistent sometimes. I once brought in something just a couple of dollars over the limit and had to pay tax, import fee, etc. Next time I brought in something $600 over the limit and didn't get pinged.

They aren't retired there, they're just stuck in traffic.

The joy of listening to music you have heard hundreds of times, with new headphones and hearing different details than you haven't heard before or in another way. Not better, just different and that's just fine.

I remember getting my first ever pair of true audiophile grade UE (original not Logi) IEMs. I was blown away by the sounds of fingers moving in guitar strings and singers breathing between words. There's so much that you miss when you listen through standard headphones or speakers.

Standing at the Hansons Lane corner and seeing the Google Street View car driving Hansons Lane towards Riccarton Road.

First time I've seen one myself.

Current pictures are almost 3 years old. I wonder how long before they appear?

Yeah, I don't want to think about what I have spent over the years on getting that kind of experience with Music. I guess so long as I am still smiling (whilst I move into my new carboard home with my wife and 2 kids, under our nearest bridge) it's OK ?

My wife got offered a job a couple of weeks ago which she liked. The problem was the structuring of the benefits, which are very important for us.

She went back with a proposal which wouldn’t have cost the school anymore money but would have made it ok for her to work there. She didn’t hear from them for 10 days or so. In the meantime she’s applied for a different role, interviewed twice, had an offer and accepted the role.

She sent the thanks but no thanks email to the first schools HR person and now they are running around trying to restructure their offer.

Too late old mate, it’s too late. She’s gone to someone who treated her with respect and who appear competent.

Despite the usual website nonsense with big events we got tickets for Hamilton in January. We’re really looking forward to it.

We’re going to watch Hamilton in just a couple of weeks at Spark Arena. Very much looking forward to it.

Admittedly it's been a while, but last time I went you could just drive in 😜

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

It's getting out that's difficult, made more so by the rush to do so once you realized where you arrived to :)

It's OK, with the bypass there's no need to do that any more.
