There was a Herald Sideswipe comment a couple of days ago, about a person who went to the movies - purchased a ticket in a nearly empty theatre.
A few people in the very back row, so she decided to plonk herself in the middle of the theatre.
Then she got quite huffy when a someone came in with the allocated seats and asked her to move, she was adamant in stating in the paper that there was a nearly empty theatre for the newly arrived to sit elsewhere at.
Not the bl00dy point - if you want a central seat, ask for it at the counter when you buy the tickets.
I'm quite particular as to where I sit - in the middle so I get the max field of view without it being overwhelming., and no fat head in the front, and no backseat kickers.
I go off-peak to enjoy these benefits, and not to have yakkers and rustlers around.
