All the junk scattered around from the fireworks.
Names spelled in what parents presumably thought was somehow a clever and witty use of language, but really wasn't. Latest example "Krystle".
*shudder*

That there is yet another Taylor Swift Album out.
(Kidding)
That people would actually pay for it...!

How about Le-lee pronounced by her parents as "Le-dash-lee" and I'm not making this up (regrettably).
Not so much annoying as "this process doesn't make sense".
Purchased a couple of small items from Bunnings and was asked if I wanted the receipt. When I said yes, the checkout operator then stamped it with a "Goods sighted and received stamp" before he gave it to me. On the other hand, if I'd said no...

If you said "No" then you wouldn't have a receipt to go back with and claim you didn't receive the goods.

Oh, that's awful. Poor child.
The fact that you don't get a full allocation of Airpoints, Airmiles etc when your flight is part 'your' airline and part codeshare with another one.
You do not (usually) get a choice about the codeshare, so why should they get away with not giving you all the points you would get if 'your' airline flew all the way? Grrr.
When the computer doesn't do what you tell it to do.
I selected some photos and pressed Delete. It asked whether I want to delete them from iCloud and all devices. I answered no... and it then apparently forgot that I'd told it to delete, because it sat there and did nothing.
There are so many things that I have given up listing them. For example, I could mention the really irritating pop-overs now on virtually every web page that cover what I am reading with subscription offers when I just want to read what is on the bloody page. Or the truly annoying chatbots like the latest one that keeps bugging me on the Microsoft site. You can't get rid of the damned thing. Well, actually, you can. The javascript switch I downloaded for Chrome is worth its weight in gold, but I sure wish people would quit thinking up new ways to annoy me. Why does everything always have to be new and improved? If it works for its purpose, just leave it alone, for christsake.

Ah, but you've misunderstood. This isn't about *you*. You, your thoughts and feelings and desires are irrelevant. People are looking for new and improved ways to get you to send money to them. Preferably automatically and monthly.
It's the Peter principle applied to marketing. Whereas the Peter principle says employees rise to the level of their incompetence, in marketing if something is good and attractive and positive, then it must eventually be ruined by introducing more and more ads until the whole experience is as mediocre as TV.

I have to say that working in IT, my levels of despair esp at the likes of MS, who reinvent things and make them much much worse (more clicks, less useful) is staggering. I see it's pervading many other products and companies. I am starting to wonder if it's related to "agile" development methods.

It keeps us employed especially built in breakage
Well, considering how much less work the average person can get done in a day as a result of all the extra clicking and stupid retraining to do something that was working perfectly before, less!
