Fringe [Amazon Prime] An old JJ Abrams Science Fiction series from 2008. I had forgot about this series but i have started watching it again because i remember it been really good and it holds up . if you havent seen it and you like shows about parallel universes and fringe sciences it is worth a watch

Started watching Riot Women, which is another Sally Wainwright series.  Which means has a lot of the same people from her other series, but they are all solid gold.  It has some serious attitude, and great characters.  I'm three episodes in and loving it.

Pluribus is easily series of the year for me. It's just exceptional. Landman was series of last year for me.

I am enjoying Robin Hood too.

Just finished Pluribus - really enjoyed it although found it a bit slow in bits. I have so many questions about the world. Look forward to season 2

Apple TV continues to impress - a lot less options but pretty much every show on there is quality. Also they keep to a regular release schedule too (no 3 year gaps between seasons).

The trailer for Shrinking seaosn 3 is out and looks good.

Also (non-Apple TV) but the trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life's still unfair is out and looks a hoot. MITM is a classic that deserves more recognition.

Edit - looks sadly looks like season 2 of Pluribus won't be with us until 2028 :-(

Agree with all that. Apparently there's a second season of Landman - started in Nov and still running. Looking forward to that.

You're probably aware that Pluribus was made by Vince Gilligan who made Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. He was impressed with Rhea Seehorn in those shows where she played Jimmy's lawyer girlfriend - so he made Pluribus specially for her to show her skills.

Recently enjoyed The Beast in Me (Netflix) and Down Cemetery Road and House of Guinness (both on ATV). HOG is made by the Peaky Blinders people and it shows.

Only have the final episode of Pluribus to go now but have personally felt the show hasn't lived up to the considerable hype around it. Definitely not in the same league as Severence. I think I've had some trouble with the "logic" of the collective consciousness.

For example the hospitals being staffed by people off the street rather than those humans that previously worked there, who are presumably mostly still around with the scrubs, etc. I mean, it makes for a more "quirky" and visually interesting show if you have people in DHL uniforms doing medical work I suppose, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

The Beast In Me, Malice, Robin Hood, and Down Cemetery Road have all been decent watches though. Really looking forward to Season 2 of The Night Manager, need to rewatch the first Series first to remember the storylines.

Except that under the show’s weird premise, everyone now knows everything - they’re all omniscient. So in the show's terms, it’s OK and totally logical for anyone to work in any specialist job.

I finally got around to watching Slow Horses. Yeah... I know... late to the party. Basically binged all 5 seasons in pretty much as many days. Probably the best thing on TV at the moment. And one of the best in a long long time. Oldman has always been good in everything and he's no different here. What struck me once we finished the 5th season was that they are all very good. Not a bad one in them which is rare.

Not really a spoiler... but...

No idea if its intentional at all... but from episode 1 it seemed like Jack Lowden was channeling Simon Pegg, or rather some characters of his, a lot. Perhaps too much. They do look similar, but its not that. Its the mannerisms and some subtle little pieces of dialog. Basically a cross of Nicholas Angel, Shaun and Tim Bisley.

Anyone going to mention Stranger Things finale?

Some say didn’t do enough, but the avoidance of a Game of Throne rushed last season was good enough for me.

I am just getting to the end of Married at First Sight UK. Julia-Ruth is hilarious. She should have her own spin-off show.
