'Somethings' not working Tech Support queries, with no further information. Happens all the time to me. Nine times out of ten it is a user issue (forgotten username and password is the most common).

Shadowfoot:

"works for me" tech support replies.

..but in this case , in spite of that, it was followed up by further triage from tech support and the issue has now been resolved. smile

Or Brave browser (which by the way on desktop allows you to donate to sites you visit).

Or when there is an issue that is not related to your product or service but the customer thinks its your responsibility to fix as their existing issue prevents them from accessing my service.

Companies like Bunnings selling products with no after-market support. In this case, we got an electric mower eight years ago and replacement carbon brushes for the motor aren't available. Not impressed.

That sounds like a picnic problem.

Or maybe an ID 10 T problem.

Thank you, Cookie Time; I really needed 50 emails (not an exaggeration; I counted them) about Christmas cookies...

... and that some phone manufacturers never update.

Despite Apple's and iOS's shortcomings, at least updates are regular and everyone's in the same boat.

Probably already been mentioned... possibly even by me... people that reply to emails with a phone call. If I didn't want a written record of the information I requested, I would have called you or asked you to call me, not emailed you the questions. I'm not falling for that old trick - this ain't my first rodeo!

I agree. I've been using Android for a year or so and the updates are far less regular than they were when I had iPhones. Google should be much stricter about that in return for letting all these handset makers use the software.

Unhelpful search results. I'm trying to find a Hangouts client for my phone. Searching for "hangouts" returns the app "WeChat", which doesn't appear to accept a Hangouts account. It also returns "Viber", which doesn't list Hangouts in the description (I haven't tested it; I downloaded it, but the very first thing it did was demand my phone number so I deleted it).
