Hacks, can't seem to find it streaming in NZ anywhere but I think it's well done. Comedy about a arrogant long time Vegas comedian with a residence who reluctantly hires a young comedy writer to write a new act

Season 3 is still up on TVNZ+, but sadly they didn't take Season 4

My wife and I might be the last people (with TVs) to watch Breaking Bad.  It's as good as the hype, but Walt is way darker than I expected.  We'll work our way through Better Call Saul when we finish BB (we are on the last series).

We are also late getting to Clarkson's Farm, which is solid gold.  I have read Andy Wilman talking about how lucky they were inheriting Caleb and Gerald.  I understand Caleb is now a millionaire (in British ££s), and good luck to him.

We've watched two episodes of The Hack, which is about the UK News of the World phone hacking and some dirty deeds in the UK Press.  If half of it it true to life, what a bunch of low lives Rupert Murdock's employees were(are?).  Unfortunately it can be a bit tricky to follow, and I am not sure my wife is going to let us finish.

We loved Motherland. Amanda Land not quite so good.

Greatly looking forward to Landman S2, and The Night Manager S2.  We hate to start a series till all episodes are available.

Highly recommend Riot Women which is coming to TVNZ shortly. A great british cast and literally a riot to watch 8.5/10

Been catching up on Andor, got one episode to go..... been loving it. Sorta sad to see it end but at least it flows into something bigger and not just end on a cliff hanger.

I Think that knowing the end of Andor before it started was its greatest gift....

It was a joy to not have to speculate how it would end and to just "go for the ride" and watch where all the pieces end up on the board as the curtain comes down...

Dave Chapelle: The Unstoppable...

Gave up after 15 minutes or so. No idea what he's on about.

we watch that on nights where there's nothing on broadcast TV (yes, we still watch Linear TV).

Much in the same vein as Brokenwood Mysteries (which is coming back soon too?)

Currently watching:
True Detective (Season 1) – slow burn, dark tone, really well written so far.

Finished recently:
Better Call Saul – didn’t expect to like it this much, but the character development is excellent.
Black Mirror – some episodes stick with you for a while, in a good (and uncomfortable) way.

Casual / background watching:
Top Gear (old episodes) – easy to rewatch anytime. BEST!

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials - Netflix 8/10

In 1925, a country house party prank turns deadly. Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent investigates the chilling murder plot. Lady Caterham and Superintendent Battle assist in solving the country house mystery that changes Bundle's life.

Absolutely fabulous. My partner and I got it all wrong in the 'who done it' guessing game.

Been getting into The Traitors UK of late - thoroughly enjoyable and Claudia Winkelman is excellent as the devious and actually quite likeable host.

Bingeing Landman S2. Absolutely bloody brilliant IMO - just love it. Big fan of Billy Bob Thornton and the rest of the cast are great - and the story is great too.

Created by Taylor Sheridan who also created Yellowstone.

I really enjoyed season 1. Season 2 really is a bit of a mess in comparison.

My bingeing got slowed by being away. Just finished it and I can’t agree S2 is a mess - still think it’s brilliant. Maybe some of the wife and daughter stuff is a bit OTT but I’m easily pleased and I love it - best show I’ve seen in a long time.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms 7/10 NEON

A century before GOT, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire, Egg, wandered through Westeros while the Targaryen dynasty ruled the Iron Throne, and dragons were still remembered. Great destinies and enemies await the incomparable friends.

Absolutely enjoying this prequel series to GOT. Though there is a couple of 'get right in your face' scenes in Ep 1 & 2 that are not for the prudish. Weekly releases which I look forward to.

I believe the scene you are describing is so far fetched it is hilarious.
