DaveDog: If it is such a problem - can't you buy tickets where you print them yourself and no ID is required?
floydbloke: The only reason I can think of for wanting photo ID is that the ticketing agency wants to match the credit-card with its owner, e.g. it hasn't been lost or stolen and is being used by someone who doesn't own the CC account.
Quite why that would be the problem of the ticket-seller though I don't know.
Elpie: OMG - you STILL have the card?!!!

stevenz: Ever tried to open a new account with ASB?
More paperwork and ID required than applying for a passport renewal, and that's not an exaggeration.
I seriously hope the situation has improved since I last looked at it and decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

Because they set the terms and conditions of the tickets and all those who miss out on tickets because of scalpers buying them all are starting to get peeved with the ticketing companies for not upholding those conditions!
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
dclegg: Speaking of card based ID, this used to be my preferred form of identification when I was younger
