johnr: Latest State insurance ads I love

As entertaining TV, yes. As a reason to have insurance with State, NO.

I always thought they were as ironic as Telecom's turtle broadband ads.  "Destroyed exports to china"... um, I hate to say it but I'm pretty sure not even State's going to approve THAT claim!  "What's that you say?  Eight billion dollars?  Hmm, I think that's a bit over your coverage limit..."

And the inference that they now provide coverage for dream-related losses.

Erm, they don't use the original line.  They substitute "Last night in bed I had the strangest dream" with "Last night I crashed in to the poultry queen" (not that we export poultry to China or anything).

Lazy and late. Idle by name.
To answer the initial header question:-
Little "BANG" for lotsa Telco "BUCKS"!
As a consolation for VF guys, Ninjas do their best work in the dark, and also can walk on water.

Well I commented to my wife this afternoon that I wanted to pop into the 2Degrees store in my local mall.

Her first comment was along the lines of "Cool... to visit a nija".

I then asked her which telco does the turtle ad. She just said "the what ad? someone has an ad with a turtle, how does that relate to a mobile company?!"

D

Nice... so Vodafone does a memorable ad - which gets latched onto the wrong telco, and Telecom does an ad - that noone remembers.

No-one has even discussed here what the Telecom ad has done to the turtle market.

My eldest wants a turtle for Christmas and now the trademe turtle market has gone bananas.

Maybe Telecom should be selling turtles. I am not happy.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

That ad about internet prices in Hungary.

I know that ad and think "Oh, yeah. That with people in Easter Europe, now what were they selling again?"

I still can't remember what the company is.

Makes me want to travel in Hungary though, maybe sponsored by the Hungarian Tourist Board? It should be.

Didn't anybody tell you I was a hacker?

Oh wow, I didn't even consider that it was a direct response to comments like mine and another's in this thread about Telecom associating their broadband services with turtles :p

Although I note Telecom's latest ad mentions that some land turtles can outrun a human.  It seems that we've reached the point where the telco ads are all obscure metaphors which noone can decipher.
