I'm in another industry but agree that retail customers are viewed, generally, as time wasters as they normally have no idea of what they want.m Trade clients can also be a pain but they are what keeps the bills paid, I have had one client that asked for and got a trade counter fitted at one supplier for the above reason that he is in a hurry as he has clients and has no time to wait.

Nort saying the response is excusable it isn't but I think the whole thing needs put in context and we only have one side of it.

Corys is great and supply tradies so are probably a bit looser than your normal salesman types. They probably said 'aww fck' because it was a hard thing to fix or was a bit out of the ordinary. If people start moaning about a bit of swearing it will just make companies go even more over the the top on PC rubbish than they already have to.

haha well, didnt intend to make a huge fuss about it. Just had not experienced that before, seems like there is alot of trades people on. Anyhow my language can be just as colorful, however i did not expect it in that environment. Time to end this post.

dickytim: Some more useful information, Cory's has been sold by Flethchers..

Well their website doesn't say that. It clearly shows it is a division of Fletchers. A bit slack if they haven't updated it, because this is in their legal terms, which should be upto date.

This website is owned and operated by Crane Distribution NZ Limited (“CDNZL”) is a division of Fletcher Building Limited.

Might be still in the sale process and the "keys" and "money" are yet to exchange hands.

Corys is owned by a French outfit called Sonopar. The changeover happened a few months ago and the last bit of IT was transferred over by 1 December last year.

That being said, Corys are typically the lowest of the low when it comes to electrical wholesalers..... but I must stress that this is all relative, considering electrical wholesalers have atrocious service in general.
