Mercedes S Class 2014!

You can buy my Dad's CL600 V12 if you like - cheap as! You'll have to collect it from the UK though.

Meh. Cars are just wasting assets.

I'd buy a Lexus long before a Merc - it's far more likely to be reliable!

either i don't dream big enough, or i am part bogan - or both, based on my last pick :)

porsche 911 gt3
audi r8
Bugatti Veyron
nissan gtr
vf gts

to clarify i asked the dream garage question as i just don't get the merc thing - but then i drop in a fast aussie taxi in my list - go figure : )

damn shame we don't have access to supercar track days like some places - so we could live the dream for a bit:

that said was lucky enough to get a rallydrive in the maramarua forest for me 40th and it was outstanding - my drive was loads of fun, but the hot laps were freakin awesome, put my "skills" into perspective : ) - thoroughly recommend it

We have a basic Merc, a B class hatchback, in the family. Been good over the six years of ownership except for the gearbox blowing up a week after the guarantee ran out, however they fixed it at little cost to us. New box and toque converter installed. I thought my Volvo was expensive to service but wait till you go to your local Merc emporium and your eyes will water. They sure know how to charge like a wounded bull !

Looking at the Morgan Video clip makes me want one. My daughter and I did a factory visit when in UK last Christmas. If any of you car fans are going to UK,Melvern Link is two and half hours by train from London and well worth a visit. You can wander round all the assembly stations and talk to all the staff. Also chatted to a test driver who signed of each car after a road test. They also hire out a few of their cars so you can do a bit of a tour in them.

My father put a new gearbox in his CL600 about 2 years ago. Cost almost $20,000 equivalent by the time it was finished. You need long pockets to play in that park - especially when combined with 11 miles per gallon...!

Since dreams are free....

My dream car is a 2010 Audi RS6 with the ceramic brake upgrade and MTM power kit to take it to over 720hp!

But I will have to settle for my new car, a VX Commodore 5.7l V8

I felt I needed to do my bit for global warming... it is far too cold outside!

2nd attempt at posting.

I drive a SAAB convertible so I can't really complain. Queue the Monty-Python Spanish Inquisition skit - Bring out the comfy chair.

I mainly ride motorcycles and have an interest in engine design, so when I look at a car I just see something that is completely in-efficient no matter even if it is a super-car and trying to reduce drag means that they are all starting to be hit with the ugly stick.

I think my top cars at the moment in no particular order would be the Morgan and Jaguar for modern vehicles, the Model A from around 1932 and pretty much anything before 1929.

OK then, I want a custom Range Rover from Overfinch in the UK.

Including a gun case fitted for a pair of Purdeys and a full bar/picnic facility, finger print lock box for my handguns and a full suite of armour upgrades, sealed ventilation system, run flat tyres etc. As well as custom Connolly hide seats, Axminster wool carpets, birdseye maple woodwork and all the other bells and whistles.

I had a Saab 93 Viggen back in the day. Awesome car after I had an aftermarket 'Viggen Rescue Pack' fitted by Abbot Racing! The 260 bhp through the front wheels with no traction control resulted in mental torque steer that was frankly unsafe. It accelerated faster from 50mph to 70mph in 4th gear than a Ferrari Testarossa.....! I spun the wheels once on a wet road changing from 2nd to 3rd on a wet road. Proper mad, that car was. I actually clocked 146mph (234kmh) on a public road at 2300 one summer night!

Got rid of it after a year as I knew I would either die or lose my licence if I kept it. Came very close to splatting into the front of an oncoming lorry in France on my way down to Le Mans that summer.
