Have to say, I'm more interested in the new A45 AMG - not a fan of very large cars, but they do look very nice :)

Mmm, while I prefer Audi (allpaw win), if you've driven something like a CL63AMG, I don't think you'd be slagging the mercs off ;)

I've driven a number of super cars, and most of the high performance cars across all of the main brands including the CL63 (Which is a nice car) and I'd still take an RS4/6 over anything else.

Mercedes look good, have cutting edge features especially the S Class but their build quality and reliability is woeful. Audi and BMW have better reliability etc records if you are looking at Euro boxes.

Also in my experience lower maintenance costs for general servicing, though it does tend to vary a little.

RS4 would be my pick as well, to be fair, but it doesn't make the Mercs bad, just not as good, in my opinion (others of course may have different preferences). I really want to see what the incoming RS6 is like, though... ;)

Yah I wasn't ever saying the mercs were bad, simply I'd prefer an Audi over any other Euro Brand.  My S4 was the best car I've ever owned, and my current car which is a BMW 335i, is awesome, but nowhere near as sure footed in the wet nor uneven surfaces. Having said that, on a flat surface the BMW is
a nicer car to drive by some margin, feeling much more sure.  The iDrive system is simply outstanding.

I drove a customers 2013 750i the other day, amazing. So much power, and the on screen display is outstanding (not new this year I know, but it's got better for the last 3 years running.
