freitasm: I wear an Icebreaker merino top under my shirts (unless it's summer). I get those washed once every couple of days as they don't seem to smell that bad. The shirts though are washed every day - cotton is not as good as wool for smells.

And please do not use artificial fibres. They don't help with evaporating sweat. It's cotton or cotton.

I bought a few under shirts from the warehouse that are specifically designed to wick sweat away and evaporate and dry quickly they seem to work very well and only cost me $9.95 each and no they are not cotton

Nicer shirt for odd time wear. Diff to normal ones. It is a blue one but very fine white fabric stripes Stoll blue but gives a unique look and a sheen look. Fabric bit thicker as well. Armani. Blends into a formal n semi formal use too. The weekend got 2 avg saville rows didnt splash but the Hugo Boss shirts were nice. Hallenstein suit or better ones. ... or a nicer mobile phone to simply call, msg or read a webpage.

Wash after every day but I am the same and have a couple of matching shirts, so in total have about 5 designs.

In the winter I normally go two days between washing shirts, sometimes doing doing the old wear on Monday then wear same shirt on Thursday trick.

In the summer normally after every wear..

Most of the time every day, if it has been cold then sometimes I get away with wearing a shirt one day, leaving it for a few days and wearing it again.
I have 6 shirts in rotation, need another couple as two should be retired

I don't see the need to wash a work shirt after every use. I tend to use a shirt a couple times before I wash it, unless of course I've spilled something or been unusually active. Never had a problem or been approached by colleagues re: body odour. I just avoid wearing the same shirt 2 days in a row as this seems to be socially frowned upon more so than than for any practical reason.

I'm the same I can wear twice during winter, summer a bit different. I wonder if all these clean people wash their trousers every day?

I believe shirts are like underpants. They should be washed after use clean or otherwise.

Besides, it gives my wife something to do :-)

Wash after 1 use too. Not because they are smelly, but because they look scruffy by the end of the day. I have around 10 shirts that I rotate through so they last me years. Time for a new batch when I go to England later this year me thinks!!
