Overall: Customs sucks, importing sucks, and the only thing I can fault NZ Post on is the fact that an employee just dumped over $1000 of sensitive hardware over the gate, during one of the wettest springs we have had in years. 

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a level 30 Siren in Borderlands 2 to attend to! tongue-out

Thats something I like about shipito - one coming DHL, one coming TNT so even if they do hit at the same day shouldnt be a problem with value.

Yeah, I got the parcels eventually - but it took about two weeks to get from "held for clearance" to my door. Customs was a pain in the *ss - they never once contacted me via phone or email (of which I had used both to leave a message) and I ended up getting notification via snail mail with instructions on how to pay duty, a day full week and a half after my parcels were held for clearance.

The thing is unless you are using a broker, they only contact you via snail mail, its just how the system is.

also the time taken, you ordered the packages at the busiest portion of the year which also contains the most public holidays. so you really cant complain about that either. if you checked the NZpost website you would have seen there were block out no postage delivery days over the xmas/new years period, and it wasn't just the stat days either.

You really have nothing to complain about it was just bad timing

It doesnt suck at all you just need to make yourself fully aware of how the system works which from reading your posts you didnt.
