That makes not the slightest sense to me....! How on earth you could make those words mean that I simply cannot see.

I think we should have a National Slap an American Day, with ruining a perfectly good language being just one of the reasons. I started watching American Chopper a few years ago, and couldn't work out why they were saying 'That is totally sick man' about a nice piece of work. Then there are all those 'people of color' which hate to be 'dissed', while they make rap songs that 'feat' other artists. It always seems to me that the harder people demand to be 'respected' the lower their self esteem must be.

OK they take some liberties over in Oz, but at least they are funny.

We are in agreement.

They do it here too of course, turning 'all over the shop' into 'all over the show' and so on. And don't get me started on 'manchester' instead of 'linen'!

Think of "break bad" as "break out bad". Makes much more sense.

I thought of it as more in the sense of 'Break away' I.e. You are on the straight and narrow, then suddenly you break away from that path to a path of being bad. Hence: breaking bad.

I LOVED Breaking Bad. Probably my favourite show watched to date.

I didn't have high expectations of Better Call Saul, but yesterday's pilot has left me more optimistic. Looking forward to another tonight.

Yep, because Cockney Rhyming Slang makes so much sense, and is so closely related to the subject.

As I understand it, CRS was devised as a sort of code to confuse 'the old bill', but seeing as robbers and rozzers probably went to school together, and still enjoy a King Lear together down the rubber-dub on a Sunday Brady Bunch time, I suspect the only people confused were tourists.

I still love a good British gangster movie, even if too many of them make us suffer Vinnie Jones' terrible acting. Everyone in the business knows that Vinnie is dire, but no one has dared to tell him.

How does that make it any different to American slang? You may not be able to relate to it but the rest of the world finds cockney gibberish just as bizarre.

That is of course the point of slang - every community has its own version and everyone else in the world thinks wtf. Chur.

How about National Slap an Eleventh Century Norseman Day then? Surely retribution for the loss of gender markers on non-biological nouns is a much higher priority?

I've enjoyed the first 2 episodes, 2 was better than 1.

My concern is the same I have about all prequels - you already know how it ends. Also, it can be dangerous adding too many elements from Breaking Bad as it should stand on it's own feet. e.g. I wouldn't want to see Tuco becoming a main character.
