I never watched Breaking Bad, will this series make no sense to me?

Having just watched the first episode - no you don't need to have seen Breaking Bad.  There's some nods to it, so you'll miss those, but it stands alone.

That aside, watch Breaking Bad.

I would recommend you watch Breaking Bad first as there are characters and scenes which relate to Breaking Bad.

I've wondered the same. Might check it out if watching Breaking Bad isn't an absolute prereq. As an aside, how far in do you have to watch until Breaking bad becomes interesting? I am a few episodes through season 2, and I would rather watch infomercials at this point, it is terrible.

It might not be for you then, I was hooked from the first episode.

Yep, if it doesn't make sense to you by now it never will.

It will be ok but nowhere near as good as after Breaking Bad. Also Breaking Bad is incredibly good so it's totally worth watching.

That makes not the slightest sense to me....! How on earth you could make those words mean that I simply cannot see.

That's how slang works.

Michael McKean's character?  I didn't think he was his father.  I thought he was a founding partner at the law firm.... someone that must have been a mentor to Saul is what I'm picking.
