I am in desperate need of music at work, the little laptop speaker fails to deliver and to get anything better i need to sign over my first born, fill out multitudes of e-forms and most likely still get declined any request for better speakers

This little beastie would look perfect on my work desk under my monitors and being so portable it can then come home with me each night to do further duty amongst the family devices (i do suspect my 9yo would be quite partial to this so there is a potential flaw in my plan!)

One of the girls at work brought one of these along to work. For its size its brilliant. I need one at home so that "she who must be obeyed" is drowned out, Mind you I am referring to the cat, who seems to be training me to 'feed him', 'open door' and 'time to go to bed' on command.

Currently have nothing, does an iPhone speaker count? I have been considering getting either this or a Bose Soundlink Mini.

Sounds like a much better idea for portable beer music playing thing than the current solution of as many Samsung smartphones as we can lay hands on/a car if we can move it to the right spot.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

No solution right now. Need something without all the cords but not wireless, bluetooth yes!
But cleaning the house or on a commercial work site this could be very useful, dropped my phone connected to headphones so many times I am surprised it still works and less cable dangers.

Beside that of course this thing actually looks great, square speakers are so 80's looking.

Using a UE boom. A second one would be great to spread the music around. And being a Megaboom I can imagine the sound will be that much better

My uses would be:

In the garage- as a diy beginner, it might help with my frustration at being so rubbish, and also drown out my cursing for the next door neighbour's.

In the car -which has the sound similar to a speaker wrapped in a blanket stuck in the mud.

The hire truck- which has no head unit at all, and the most unconformable ride.

If we go away I'm stuck listening to my gfs iPod(speaker not compatible with android), who's playlist hasn't been updated since backstreet boys nsync etc (I kid you not!)

And probably most importantly, I also need it to drown out my girlfriends nagging to do the chores etc.

Thanks for the entry

PS. It would also be great at work. Some music might be great motivation/morale booster while we are weeding hundreds of buckets of beetroot!

I'd put it in my car and play my music through that instead of my crappy nexus 5 speaker.

I heard one of these at the Rock in the Park. Logitech were showing them off.

I could not believe the sound in an open air environment from a speaker. It was awesome and was not tinny at all.

I would love one when I am entertaining with friends outside. No-more moving speakers from my stereo.

Wow this would be great for when I am out back drinking my tea.
Somehow using cheap $17 earbud does not do it as I missed listening to the birds

If i win this , i would like to give this to my dad, so that he can play tracks in his car as he cannot play the tracks he wants to through the native jap player.

cheers

Have beat up old creative Bluetooth speaker that has been under the house and in the roof while installing insulation. Surprised it still goes, and in need of a replacement.

Awesome prize!

I've been wanting to get a Bluetooth speaker, but I don't have anything yet.  I have many uses for one, including a replacement for my tinny laptop speakers and it's great for playing music at parties.

I have a UE Boom. It's awesome, smaller than this beast that MF reviewed. Its great, 15 hour battery life, great sound, so I am super hoping to be lucky enough to win.

I use my UE Boom outside while having a cold one with my neighbours. At the back of my home, at the back of their home. My 16yo daughter takes/borrows/steals it on a regular basis...

Fingers and toes crossed!
