I've just posted a review of the Logitech UE Megaboom wireless speaker, so you can read all about this prize before entering.

These Bluetooth-enabled speakers output incredible sound, can be managed from your smartphone and go really well with the Amazon Fire TV.

How to Enter: reply in this thread with comments on what you have now, or what you plan to use this Logitech UE Megaboom wireless speaker (as I said I used mine with the Amazon Fire TV) - double entry points if you post a photo (upload the photo to Geekzone and use the BBCODE provided). Be creative here folks.

General rules: one entry per user only in our competition. One winner will be randomly selected. The winner will receive one Logitech UE Megaboom wireless speaker. Competition is open to New Zealand residents with a New Zealand delivery address only. This giveaway closes 1st May 2015 (New Zealand time). Winner will be selected in a random draw and contacted via email. After confirmation we will post winner's username in this topic.

Email notification: this topic may get quite busy, so if you don't want to receive email notifications when new replies are posted, remember to uncheck the "E-mail me when someone replies to this post" option. An unsunscribe option is always sent with every email.

First to enter first to win?

Currently don't have anything as a portable speaker solution.
Will also use for Telecomferences at work via cell phone.

So my photo of current portable solution is thin air

Ok - I have an old TV, bought 5 years ago.

The speaker is getting softer (I am pretty sure it was'nt me that is getting deaf).

It will be good to use this with my Amazon TV - we only use Amazon TV in the house.

I would love to use one of these with my Fire TV, as I don't have speakers for it.

1. Pair it with the TV
2. Work out a way to stop the kids pairing it with their phones (so I don't have to listen to their music)

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I have a Soundmatters Foxl which has been all around the world with me, providing a little bit of comfort in some dodgy hotel rooms, guest houses and so on when I am on assignment overseas.

It does not have any weatherproofing though and needs a portable sub to get the bass that the Megaboom can deliver, so it would become a very well travelled device!

I, too, am working with a zero solution at the moment, so something like this would be most excellent when I go places with my iPad or whatever :)

I currently have a Logitech UE mini Boom so a bigger speaker with more volume would be great!

I'd have to seriously think about how I used these. On one hand they could replace the el cheapo Logitech system I have hooked up to the bedroom TV or I could use these on the verandah when entertaining guests instead of proceeding with a hardwired hanging speaker system which I'm contemplating. Fortunately for me Sony recently upgraded my STR-DN1030 to an STR-DN1050 (warranty issue) which has bluetooth and NFC so these would make a great zone 2!!
