I bought the Miele C3 base model for $420.
The difference between the base model and the cat&dog was the filter and an extra turbo head, we don't have a problem with animal hair but I ordered the filter upgrade online for $35 (to make the house smell nice)

Very pleased with it, my house is very clean, the kids keep turning the suction down because it's too strong for them to move

Hi

I am in the market for a new vacuum as currently using a Hoover stick model, battery operated, good for small jobs.
From which store did you buy this from and what exact model

They dropped it to $420 for me
HN has the same model but with turbo, best price I was offered was $540
And best price on C3 Cat&Dog was $633 at HN

Godfreys has a few models too but it appeared to be old stock, not the C1,2,3 range

We are another convert from Dyson to Miele (cat and dog)
Didn't like the new Dyson design, but loving the Miele after 6 months use. Way more suction, quiet and I am enjoying not having to empty and clean the bag less design.

I think that the dyson guys never tried it with cat dander and other shed greasy skin type things that just clump and coat the whole insides of the little cyclones. Works fine on dust from outside, gravel dust, sanding dust etc, but anything sticky or greasy and it is super unpleasant.

Miele is a good name in appliances. I'd just as happily have gone with them as long as I got a bagless one (and I don't need a turbo head either) but I'm real happy with the Boche too.

We have a weirthiem and recently Kirby wheedled their way into our house. They were quite surprised the pickup of stuff was as good as their one. Other than pointing out the differences like Shampooing that the Kirby did, they weren't pushy and left with no fuss when we said we weren't interested.

I would be keen on feedback on portable vacuums like the dyson as we wouldn't mind something better for stairs than our model.

The stick dyson has a short battery life and a tiny container. The spinning brush will also sent small stones flying across the room instead of sucking them up.

Bought the Miele C3 complete from Smith City for $400.
Very pleased with the purchase and also bought a pack of dustbags for $20.

We got an s771 late last year and it's been fantastic. Super strong suction. We've also got our 10 year old Melei down at the Bach still going strong hence the decision to buy another one.

BTW we have dogs and this is more than adequate.
