That's where I first heard of them.

It was a JRE podcast with the "Walrus Whisperer" Phil Demers, that led me to "Blackfish" too. I've since supported him and have a signed photo of him and Smooshi on my wall!

If you're interested in doping, this is the best interview with Lance Armstrong out there. Best in the sense that questions aren't approved etc, it's just a conversation with him about his doping. Again it's Joe Rogan's podcast.

I remember that one. Amazingly candid interview. Joe Rogan didn't beat around the bush either.

Joe Rogan is one of the best podcasts around. Although I hit fast forward as soon as he gets started on MMA.

We have just watched these on BBC iplayer and both were very thought provoking

"Locked in my Body" - Imagine the terror of being fully awake but unable to communicate with the outside world, move your body, open your eyes etc. When your body shuts down completely.

"Life inside Wandsworth Prison" - Documentary with unprecedented access inside a British jail, showing violence, drugs smoked openly, and prisoners suffering from mental health problems and self-harm.

New Zealand Earth's Mythical Islands, It's a 3 part documentary about New Zealand that's airing on the BBC. I am just watching the first episode now and so far it's been really good.

I have them all but only just got around to part 2. Looking forward to the final one.

A week or so ago I watched 'Rolling Papers' on netflix. Awesome doco, interesting take on following how a newspaper in Colorado covers stories to do with the states legalisation of Marijuana. Had an awesome soundtrack and answered a few questions and invents more to do with the medicinal side of the argument to legalise that I feel isn't being talked enough about on both sides.. Some good comments from all types of people which I wish I would hear more of with the debate here in NZ. Some fun and funny bits like covering the Cannabis Cup then serious bits like the migration of people to the State and also investigating how South America (I think Ecuador) did it and what they think of the Colorado model.

Well worth checking out.

Did you see that article this week in some paper which discussed how much money the State of Colorado has made from weed? Astonishing.

Amazing story of DJ, Rodney Bingenheimer, who is still doing his midnight to 3am Sunday spot on KROQ in LA, 14 years after this doco was released.

Spoiler: he introduced Bowie to the US and "found" bands that include No Doubt, Hole, Suicidal Tendencies, RHCP, etc

Saudi Arabia Uncovered on Netflix shows the shocking reality of life in this obviously awful country and continues to reinforce how lucky I am to live here in NZ.

When you see this footage, you have to question just why do the US and UK continue such a close relationship? And when you see just what the kids are taught in school, you understand why the world is in such a mess.
