Doesn't make a lot of mention about how stocks in various sectors are whipping around the place, tech stocks are down sharply, banks, pharma etc up.

You can't get much more "establishment" than the DJIA, which is the index CNN focus on there.

"Where the jobs are" is probably better reflected by the S&P 500 index, which is quite flat.

Trump is isolationalist in his policies so that will affect NZ.

It will be very interesting to see how far he takes this. I've been a full time contractor to US companies since 2007. I really hope he doesn't introduce measures that make this sort of global spread of labour an unattractive proposition for US companies.

I didn't realise that he'd specifically mentioned Apple:

“We’re going to get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country instead of in other countries.” —Jan. 18, 2016

I wonder how he's going to get Apple to do that?

It appears that the removal of some of the policies from his website was a tech glitch - they're back up.
