It's not a firel alarm nearing the end of its battery is it. Similar thing drove me crazy until I stood and waited for 10 minutes and located it

I had that with an old one I had taken down and replaced as it was old and yellowed. Put it in a box when cleaning up and 6 months later it started beeping in the garage. Real pain to locate them with them being a short sound that is well above the range where your ears can find the direction of it.

Have you realised yet that the noise is all in your head and you're going crazy?
