These comments remind me as to why I'm always hesitant to try and sell things on Trade Me...

I once sold an old couch on TradeMe at $1 reserve, because just wanted someone to take it away.

It ended up selling for $2, and the buyer asked me if I could deliver it for him.

Couple of years ago I was doing a clearance of a few things,  one of which was a kids bikes with a $1 starting bid. 

After listing the bike I found a defect which needed repair so I withdrew it from sale.  

Some dude started leaving super abusive comments on my other auctions. He was upset that i had 'ruined' his chances of getting a cheap bike . The way he was speaking was like he already owned the bike and I had stolen it from him. 

Still have the bike, really do need to get around to selling it again.

Join the facebook groups called "Pay It Forward" especially the north shore ones. People with a lot seem to ask for a lot.
I tried to give things away on there once and ended up with people messaging me fake sob stories and a raft f other things, trying to guilt trip me. Once I gave this $300 bed away I got abusive comments form half the others telling me I was a heap of crap..

Pretty much told them what sacks of crap they are on my post then got banned hahaha. Beggars can't be choosers.
