Some great one liners in tonight's episode.

My favourite was "Blame the Maori guy, eh?"

Is there a drive-through restaurant called "Hey, hey Chicken" in Wellington?

I liked when the zombies said they needed lots of flesh, and chose to go to courtenay place at night!

Nope

It looked the KFC in Kilbirne redressed,  (although it may have been one in the Hutt, as most of the filming is done out there,)

I did love the "they will be looking for flesh" and then the next shot is "Courtenay Place" :) [snap]

Wellington Paranormal: TVNZ hoping for more from hit series

"Don't think you've seen the last of Sergeant Maaka and the rest of the 'Wellington Paranormal' team.

The hit, six-part mockumentary series, which ended its run on TVNZ2 last night, will return if the broadcaster has its way.

A TVNZ spokesperson said they were delighted with how the "What We Do in the Shadows" spin-off has performed.

'The audience response has been fantastic. We hope to bring the show back, but a second season has yet to be confirmed.'

As well as needing to secure New Zealand on Air funding, the timing of a follow-up series could also well depend on the availability of in-demand executive producers Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement (who also directed at least half of the episodes) and the show's other director Jackie van Beek.

However, there is no doubting Wellington Paranormal's first season has been a success. As well as attracting critical acclaim, it has also found a large audience, both in its timeslot and online.

TVNZ OnDemand figures for last month reveal the first three episodes achieved total streams of more than 150,000.

That made it the fourth-biggest show streamed on the broadcaster's site, behind only Shortland Street, Love Island Australia and the phenomenon that was Love Island UK.

The broadcast figures were equally impressive. Nielsen report that the show's first five episodes attracted an average audience of 223,600..."
