I bet Ken's a great fisherman as well as comic genius, based on how well he's reeled one in there :-D

Amusingly though Ken's rationale is entirely wrong (perhaps deliberately so), he is correct.  Trees do reduce temperature, and not just by creating shade.

Whoosh.  Another reeled in. You should really google Ken M.

At least with Stuff you get up and down votes, which in itself gives a mood of the readership. Much better to have agreement or disagreement indicators rather than the "likes" and narrow minded self protectionism that leftie liberals seem to prefer.

Hopefully Stuff will be allowed to continue in order to teach the youngsters that it is OK to have an opinion.

Womp womp.

"Youngsters" these days are more opinionated than they've ever been, and have far more opportunity to express those views to an audience than they've ever had in the entirety of human history.

As for your usual "leftie liberal" rant - did you get that on 4 Chan?  Do you realise that your mentors are about 14 YO?

Nothing wrong with an opinion. But Stuff comments are shocking. It perceives to me to be unemployed sad people. If it wasnt that, its even worse.

I'd say uneducated, nasty right wing and conservative extremists.

I think the Stuff website & the comments section has some big problems.  Firstly, it's common for the same article to have two sometimes three headlines spread across different parts of the website. It is exactly the same story yet has three headlines linking to the story. Quite often the story will a comments section but at least one of the headlines leads to a blank comments section.

And don't get me started on moderation. One day you think it's 'The Guardian' moderating the comments, and the next you'd think it's the editor of some small town paper in Alabama from 1959! Thank goodness that Stuff and The Herald are free because Hell would freeze over before I would pay for either.

(edited because I can't proof read my own comments!)

You might believe that you are quite right. But, I wonder what those "uneducated, nasty right wing and conservative extremists" may think about some of the comments made in here?

No prizes for guessing where your political affiliations lie.

I don't waste a lot of time reading comments on places like Stuff however from what I've seen the comments seem to be spread across the spectrum with perhaps a bias to the left. You must lie well to the left if they all seem right wing to you.

I believe he's quite right.  They can't think - so why bother yourself pondering.
