If RNZ is making a practice of copying and pasting overseas clickbait without making any effort to verify the accuracy of the irresponsible sensationalist rubbish they are passing on, they are hardly entitled to be called 'one of the best on offer'.

I am surprised anyone listens to anything on AM radio or messes with aerials anymore. I do stream the World Service. In fact, I stream everything I listen to. I can't say I miss the static and crackles of AM.

I think as someone else said earlier - why not drop an email to the CEO, and their own Mediawatch show also while you are at it? Mediawatch try to be neutral and non-partisan, so would likely correct their own story. I've heard RNZ occasionally do this without an order even from the Governments media watchdog. As far as I know they have to mention when a ruling was issued.

As for crackles on AM, on my digitor clock radio, if it's oriented to the correct angle there is never any static and the audio quality is good. Though I'm the kind of person to enjoy a bit of strictly analogue RF interference, along with some hiss on an LP or an old recording off tape,etc.Short-wave/DXing is even better for a sense of mystery and life. It's one of those niche techy fetishes I like to think... As for digital, well don't get me started.

Reply All's latest episode is on 'The Great Momo Panic'.

I haven't heard it yet myself, but Reply All is one of my favourite podcasts and always worth a listen (Reply All's two episodes on investigating an Indian call centre scam rate as my favourite podcasts ever - https://www.gimletmedia.com/reply-all/long-distance).
