Got a parking ticket that day just down the road.
Good times...
The girl at the College Park motel, said to ask to have it waived and they did. Probably too much hassle for a tourist. I asked what the payment process is as I'm from NZ, they said don't worry we will cancel it

Richie, when the Crusaders came in for visits, included many AB's
George W Bush, from the iron gates at the White House. 3 black choppers came in, he was in 1, that's the usual method. Walking across the lawn, waving. Guys in black with guns on top of the White House. Got a parking ticket that day just down the road.
I am sure the topic is about people you met - not people you see going through at the distance, surely? Tell me you shook hands with him and spent more than fifteen minutes talking?

Larry Mullen Jnr, just after U2's Boy album came out. I was with my Dad in an antiques store in Ireland with a new set of drumsticks. He came over and chatted to us about drumming and lessons for a couple of minutes and then said "I do a bit of drumming for a band called U2. Ever heard of them?" We both replied "No". No offence was taken, more small talk was made and he left the store.
We saw U2 on TV at a later date and had a bit of a chuckle.
I don't drum any more, just a phase at school :)
Penn and Teller after a show, really enjoyed that. I normally don't bother Celebrities as I am sure they have more important things to do than talk to me, but occasionally if they seem up for it (I'd never bother someone eating).
Jordan Tafua, Israel Dagg recently at different events. Luckily was wearing Crusaders tops at the time lol.
Exchanged pleasantries and assured Ethan Hawke that sitting beside me I wasn't going to be a drama, at a bar in San Sebastian during the film festival there. He offered a photo, and I politely declined and suggested he would rather finish his food which he seemed grateful for. Sadly no-one else was that polite and he spent 45 minutes trying to eat whilst being tapped on the shoulder every few moments. Went to another bar immediately following and ended up sitting beside a guy whos name I can never recall, who it turns out is the biggest Mexican soap star in the world. After he left a group of people came over and talked to me about what he was like lol.
Earlier in the night I had caught a Taxi from my hotel to the food area in San Sebastian. The guy thought it would be hilarious to drop me off on the Red Carpet, so there I was in my AB's jersey desperately trying to find a way out, whilst hundreds of people took my photo and grabbed at me. Luckily after a few minutes someone from security worked out I wasn't supposed to be there and rescued me.
Won a Red Carpet prize for the original LOTR Movies and sat behind Peter Jackson at the premiere. Met a few of the cast there too at the after party.
1971 Robert Muldoon before he became PM. His son and I went to Rathkeale College. He was a couple of years behind me. My father who was an avid National stalwart at the time saw him talking to the head master so dragged me over.
Lived in Aussie for 30 years and for 25 of them was an avid Sydney theatre goer, season tickets etc, so have meet most of the Aussie acting fraternity over the years in post play 'meet & greets'. Cate Blanchett, Sam Neill and Hugh Jackman being the nicest of the lot. Cate Blanchett is like a fine porcelain doll. My partner worked as a croupier supervisor at Star City Casino and meet quite few including the high rollers 'Big Whales' over the years.
The thing we found, and very much liked and so do the actors, is that you could be dinning out and sitting at the next table would be Steve Bisley or whom ever and everybody leaves them alone to get on with their private life's, no selfies or such. If you made eye contact, you nodded and that is that. Had that happen quite a bit in and around where we lived in Sydney which was close to Norton Street, leichhardt which is Little Italy. Actors love Italian food 😀
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
I met David Lange at a Labor Party fundraising auction before he was PM and before he lost the weight. I recall it so well, as I didnt like the guy until I met him, and then I was in awe of his wit and intelligence. It taught me that the real person is quite different to the television persona. I also shook hands with Bill Clinton in Auckland. It was close to a glass ornament shop where he purchased something or other. The shop was cleared of people before he entered, but he did meet and greet a few people close by including myself. Think it may have been APEC or something like that.

I mean, if the connection can be that tenuous then I should mention the time Leelee Sobieski dropped an arrow on my head or when I was in spitting distance of Sean Astin.
I used to work for the BBC in London for a number of years.
The general unwritten rule was to not bother the talent unless you had specific reason to or they approached you.
Probably the most famous person I ignored was Dawn French.
I'm also fairly certain I walked past Todd Blackadder in Christchurch yesterday. I ignored him too.

Geektastic: Mauricio is Steve Biddle and I claim my $5.
It is surely a Bruce Wayne/Batman, Peter Parker/Spiderman deal?
Impossible. People have seen me and Steve Biddle at the same events together.
Ah, but have they? Or was it a clever illusion using synthetic humans? Or holograms? Or were they neuralised following the event and told that SB was also there?

Your list reminds me of some omissions.
I shared a flight with John Campbell once (and his Dad served me dinner once). He seemed less irritating in person than he does on the radio.
John Key
Helen Clarke
Winston Peters
Jim Anderton
Tom Baker (in a pub in Kent)
Michael Cullen (used to be my neighbour)
