This job has been so bad for Fletcher's. This is quite convenient (maybe too convenient) as it will allow them to cut their losses an run. I'm sure the insurance company isn't going to to be too eager to payout quickly on this one.

I believe Fletchers self-insure so they'll be looking to the subbie to claim against, otherwise its a fletcher funded payout

500 to 2000 Ltr's, 1 ltr of water weights 1 kg so can you image that weight hitting the structure in a concentrated area.

Don't thing that is a good idea.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

They are wanting the roof to drop anyway, suppose the question is, is the slab on level 5 able to take the weight?

It should be able to hold 2 tonnes, but whether it can take 2 tonnes dropped from 100m up is another question...

It's funny how that happens sometimes. At work yesterday I overheard someone mention it as they were passing my desk, but aside from that I didn't hear a thing until today. It's all over the news sites, but I was simply too busy yesterday to be looking at them!

With all the water they are pouring on the roof would this not double the weight of the actual roof if it collapses or would all the water just be running out the building.

Thats a lot of water they are pouring into it per minute.

There's multiple layers of straw through the roof because they had to reach a very high insulation rating and acoustic rating.

Next you will be telling me they made the building out of mud.
