Non GMO soy is the exception not the rule (82% GMO world wide in 2014, 94% GMO in the USA 2018). Link1 Link2

 

You probably have better chance of avoiding GMO on an Omnivore diet.

The NZ GMO ban was on locally grown crops/imported organisms, not imported GMO food. MfE link

 

GMO food is pretty much an unavoidable fact of life now days. 

 

You have to be wary of the weasel words that politicians speak.
