Interesting because one of the company directors contacted me when some other user posted the same information (without any links) asking to have it removed since this person is not part of the company.

I looked at the Companies website and couldn't find his name listed there - what's interesting is that Fairfax published this story - either he was a director and then had his name removed from the company listing, or he was never a director, in which case why would he had that picture taken?

By the way, I am changing the words in your post a bit to prevent the company threatening us again.

Very interesting.

No worries about editing the post, I fully understand.

I bought a can of Cocaine Spicy (club) just the other day now and can not get over the taste
To be honest it was like drinking a sweetened version of Tabasco Sauce (And man do I love Tabasco Sauce)

But whats going on with the Caffeine? The can states 80MG but the reports state 280MG,
So has NZ got the little girls version or what?

I was feeling a bit lethargic the other day... so instead of grabbing a V or Red Bull... I ate an APPLE

And I sharpened right up. Woke me up for the rest of the afternoon.

Energy drinks are a crock.  We don't need copious quantities of refined sugar and chemical buzz-words (oooh, guarana and taurine, whoopdy whoop), just better diets.

Fifteen years from now, I'd like to see a study done on kids who lived on this stuff, and see just how many have developed diabetes.

Well really we don't need anything, we just need to tell ourselves we have lots of energy and start running round in circles,
But to be honest I prefer the unnatural high to the natural,
because a great diet and positive thinking doesn't give you that WTF factor of an unclear head and more energy than is possible without putting something crazy in your system

I've never been so fill of energy - ever since I connected up a permanent drip direct from my coffee machine :)

You can get a better effect by eating a large block of milky bar chocolate and swallowing 2 V drinks all within 30 mins. Great way of staying awake in all day meetings.

Not sure what company director contacted you but a quick search turns up the herald article and subsequent searches for 'wize' on the companies website turns up info showing who used to be director at this company.

Thanks for the search. So he was a director after all, and sold his shares.

Based on the company registration information he is not involved with the company in any other capacity, and therefore please refrain from posting anything about this case.

Nothing like a good sugar crash to leave me feeling like utter pants for the rest of the day.

I can certainly advocate the occasional energy drink or several coffees to get through a tough day, but I know people who do it regularly. Office workers like myself who do sedentary work and really probably don't need that sort of stuff. Doing it regularly wreaks havoc on your guts and sugar levels.

I know one guy (who is a bit of a "I'll try anything once guy) who drank 12 cans of V over one night instead of drinking alcohol and ended up with a stomach hernia (the gastroesophageal junction moves above the diaphragm together with some of the stomach.)
- More fool him for drinking 12 cans of the garbage! I can't say I was very sympathetic really.

I think Redbull and V kinda own the market, and Demon (is that a CCA brand?) looks to be making inroads too.

Nope, not a CCA brand.  They're actually pretty vocal about it too.  According to a companies search, Demon Drinks Limited is owned by some independently owned trustee company.  The curious part is how it took them until 2008 to market something, yet the company's been around since 2002.  Also, I reckon Lift Plus still has a hefty chunk of the market too.
