eluSiveNZ:

Is this actually yellowy looking when powered off ?

I am thinking of getting some of these but some strips will be visible (Pantry)

Yes, pretty much all white LEDs have there be some phosphor coating visible when off.

This hasn't arrived from Aliexpress, just saw it on there, an ingenious portable fusion reactor:

15W in, 1600W out, someone should tell the ITER folks that you can already buy the finished thing off Aliexpress.

I have bought something similar before. It was a kit, bags of LEDs and a template to put it together with. Needless to say it is still a bag of LEDs and a template because I aint got time for that.

Yeah, they're really cheap as kits since it's mostly just a pack of LEDs and insanely expensive pre-built because the entire thing has to be done by hand, over a thousand soldered connections in a birds-nest format. Has anyone here ever assembled one?

Set of SS steel bench dogs:

These are lower-profile and a lot more solid than the usual plastic ones, and a helluva lot cheaper than buying SS ones locally.

These arrived 8 days after ordering.

LED interior lights to replace the standard halogen globes in my car. $24 dollars delivered and the set came with 16 individual globes (my car only requires 7 so I have many spares). About the same price for 2 globes sources through a local auto store.

The difference is amazing. I can actually see inside my car at night now.

These elastic mask straps:

Convert standard ear-pulling face masks into neck-strap face masks, an absolute must if you're required to wear the ear-pulling ones for extended periods.

This Chinese knock-off of the very expensive Woodpecker Autoline. Unlike the large majority of the copies this is actually remarkably good quality, milled flat area for the stop, engraved crosshairs on the base, if it wasn't for the lack of Woodpecker logo on it I'd say it was the real thing.

For comparison, this is an Autoline. If it wasn't for the fact that the Autoline is made in the USA not China I'd say it was a third-shift copy.

Portable tyre air compressor

Surprised that Ali was able to send this given how large the battery is inside.    Looking at the shipping label it looked like it was part of consolidated shipment to NZ and then repackaged locally.

Useful to have in the car to check type pressures and inflate rather than having to do the local petrol station.
