tchart: I've noticed the "tardy" shipping as well. Just logged on and checked Far Cry 6. If I ordered right now (Thursday PM) it says it would ship on Monday. Their workforce must be way down at the warehouse.

Are you near a JB Hifi branch? They have it cheap for same day pick-up (if you're in Level 3) - got a copy recently.

This was just an example. I've noticed a few times recently that it says "will ship on XYZ" - which is sometimes a week away.

Usually I'm not in a rush and given current circumstances I can accept this. Hopefully things will improve once we are out of lockdown.

FYI: NZPost are currently giving major retailers an allocation of parcels they will collect per day. So MightyApe for instance may be limited to 1200 parcels collected per day- which means any excess just gets shrink wrapped at stuck on a pallet until they clear the queue in front.

All major retailers TWH, Kmart etc are operating under the same restrictions but since the allocations are per location you may have better luck as the individual store may not have exceeded their daily pickup amount.

NZPost has told retailers that if they exceed the limit they wont collect anything - so yeah... pretty sucky all round.

Ah, this would be why Bunnings are fulfilling orders from Mangamuka Bridge and Benneydale and Coroglen even though they're in stock in much closer stores.

Kudos to them for going to this effort, it must be quite a lot of work shuffling orders around like this.

Look team, I am also surprised by the slow service MA is providing these days but let's judge them based on more "normal" times when we are out of lockdown.

All retailers, including The Warehouse, are taking weeks to just process an order.

Let's give them some slack.

My two terrible experiences that lead to me abandoning them after years of dealing, were both in 'normal' times earlier this year - i.e. no lockdown in place.

^Ok that's interesting, it's the opposite of my personal experience. I do pick up many of my purchases though.

One of mine was a pick-up, other one was to be a delivery.

Weve had no issues with MA really, but we tend to pick up most stuff as their warehouse is only 6km away.

They did pull a swifty the other day tho.... said they were no longer allowing pickups, so we paid for a Primate sub, next day, allowing pickups again. Grrr.

3 out of 4 of my recent issues can't really be attributed to lockdown woes. For example not willing to do a price match.

Yes I can agree with you on the price matching - they are tending to decline more now that they are owned by Kogan.

I think for me, it's the lack of contact - this thread prompted me to look at the order I had placed and it has now shipped - but I have had no contact to let me know.

LostBoyNZ:

On Oct 10th I ordered a PS5 controller & Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart bundle, they were in stock ready to ship the next day. Although I figured it would be a few extra days with the lockdown and the shipping might take a bit longer. I also signed up to 3 months of Primate.

I never heard anything about the order again, but a few days ago I checked and the estimated delivery date was early December (!) Both products are still in stock and "ship tomorrow" even now by the way.

That was my exact same scenario, though mine was on October 4th (same product/bundle).

I cancelled my MA order and ordered from The Warehouse instead (they have the same bundle), and picked it up later that day.

Yeah I switched to JB Hi-Fi and even though it was posted, it arrived in a few days.
