That takes me back!
Long time since I have seen that logo/name

Handsome Dan needs to stop adding three dots to every sentence...

They were awesome! Pity Pizza Hut got their hands on them.
re the poor service - the young woman who "served" me (I use that term very loosely) was a Kiwi. But the night before, a young Kiwi guy served me at the same Domino's and he was nothing but friendly. So I guess it just depends on who you get when you go there. Hopefully I get him next time too.
Anyone who pays $5 for a pizza deserves everything they get IMO. Given the quality of ingredients I would rather eat the box.
I'd much rather pay $20 on the expectation the staff were paid a decent wage, the ingredients were a good quality and the boss was making enough profit to make it all worth while.
Found myself in Christchurch, late at night, raining, desperate for a meal, the only place open handy was a Domino's on the edge of the city somewhere ...
What a difference from my local! Staff were friendly and efficient, pizza was full of toppings and nicely cooked, I was astounded Clearly the local franchise owners take more pride in their service and food, so it is possible.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
isnt this simply the same as
MacDonalds, BK, Wendy's etc burgers not looking anything like the picture
a $5 pizza is a $5 pizza .
Blatant plug for a place that I have no relationship with other than being a very happy repeat customer whenever I'm in town there (twice a year maybe). Double Zero restaurant in Whakatane (and they do takeaway orders) does great food including their pizzas.
alasta:I had never eaten Domino's until Saturday night when I was at a friend's place and she ordered it. Now that I've tried it I can't understand why anyone would pay actual money to eat that muck.
Yep that's my reason for going there too. Not exactly world-class pizza, but it fills me up and it's only $5.
I'd rather just get one of the handmade pizzas from New World and stick it in the oven for ten minutes.
Admittedly they cost more than $5, but they're still cheap and the quality is vastly superior.

Plus I can walk to Domino's, New World is quite a way away (or any supermarket).
Anyway, I'll be claiming my two free sides this week :)
I'd post something public on their Facebook page. You'll get a response then.
@xor: I paid for extra toppings on a Pizza Hut pizza recently that didn't get put on, took photos and emailed them through to Pizza Hut but didn't even get a response.
It will probably depend on the franchise owner. I had a couple of pizzas that were really overdone (likely because they were just staying there under the heat due to volume of orders) and complained online. The next day I got a phone call from the local franchise owner.
I guess Pizza Hut passes these comments to the stores to sort it out.
