I go for Jeds 4  have a breville BES870. I think it makes great coffee comparable if not better than what you buy in a cafe.  I also use a non-homogonised fattier milk.

Fancy Delonghi machine owner (cos cant use a puck with arthritis so no Breville for me). Work loves Humminbird OOmph but to me, they taste burnt. The Havana X (Black) or Blend (Pink) I really like.

Whichever is on special at the time out of Hummingbird, Karajoz, Havana and  L’affare

People saying Jeds I don't understand, every time we've tried it, was not good.

We favour the Havana black the most using a breville infuser. Have tried other brands when they are on special but always end up back at the Havana beans.

We did enjoy one of the blends from four avenues but I'm not sure how available that is outside if Christchurch new worlds. It's also not on special as often as the Havana so it's rare we pick it up.

turtleattacks:

  • Allpress
  • Kokako
  • Mojo
  • Ozone
  • Havana
  • Supreme
  • Matakana
  • Everest
  • Jed's
  • L'affare
  • Hummingbird
  • Countdown-branded
  • The Shaky Isles
  • Karajoz
  • Robert Harris

  • House / every day beans are Shaky Isles, at $20 for 800g it is hard to beat, and alternate between the Organic and Standard.
  • L'Affare - I can't touch - there is something about their roast that really doesn't work.
  • Jed's coffee bags are handy for on the road.
  • Avalanche are the fallback house beans, usually the "4"
  • Havana are a great supplement when on offer
  • Altura are near us and we often pick up a single origin for the weekend or for a change.
  • Supreme - too soft for me
  • Allpress - to expensive for day to day, but I've always loved their roast.

Havana and Hummingbird for us.

I'm sorry but Jed's is just awful.
