In my ideal world bedrooms would not have windows. Or if they did, they would have German style security shutters that closed at night to (a) keep out the ne'er-do-wells and (b) keep out the sun.

So your ideal bedroom would be this?

With Axminster carpets and better furniture.

Rikkitic:

It probably has something to do with vampires and the living dead.

It has more to do with the fact that I hate being woken up in the morning! Unless I’ve no choice, I never set an alarm and prefer to wake naturally. In summer however that’s too early because I rarely go to bed before midnight and the sun rises at some ungodly hour!

In Christchurch. Waiting for the "promised" snow to arrive.

If it does arrive overnight I'll (Hopefully) let you know tomorrow.

Vaguely white here in Christchurch. A bit of snow on the grass, cars, roofs etc. 1 degree here at the moment. Roads and footpaths etc are too warm and are clear of it.

A "gritty" snow.....not real snow and not hail either.

So will spend today hopefully being warm and watching the melt.

I’m about half way between Chch and Oxford. No snow here (did get a few flurries yesterday but ground too wet for it to settle). There is a thick white frost on the deck.

I can see some of the mountains from here and they’re quite white.

@xpd our condolences to you and your better half. We attended the funeral of my wife's uncle on Monday in Orewa. After the service and wake, family and a few friends met at a local bar and eatery for a chance to reminisce.

Quokkas are good for the soul.

Seeing one in a picture fills me with happiness.

They always seem so happy with their lot.
