I've had this one pending border clearance since early Feb.
Ali refunded me yesterday.

@Dochart and anyone else waiting on packages sent via Czech Post.

I didn't hear back from NZ Post, so after phoning and not getting any useful information, and contacting Customs who insisted NZ Post was responsible for any clearance issues, I sent a request to help@nzpost.co.nz. I got a reply back this evening indicating none of the packages I referred to had arrived in NZ, despite what the tracking may imply. They'll probably all turn up tomorrow.

Good Evening <redacted>

Thank you for your enquiry.

We can confirm that this item <redacted> ,<redacted> and  <redacted> has not arrived into New Zealand for delivery.

If you are concerned that this item has passed its delivery time and should have been delivered by now, we recommend that you contact the sender and ask them to open an enquiry with the postal service they used to send this item.

AE changed their mind and agreed to a refund. Both sent via CZ post.

Still waiting for the funds.

I ordered some earphones on 28 March. Estimated delivery date was 20 April.

Item was despatched by seller on 31 March. It arrived in the country on 04 April, and it was delivered today.

This was with AliExpress Standard Free Shipping. Tracking shows item came via air direct from China to Auckland.

Another one with 2 items (Czech Post) that have never turned up, despite more recent purchases arriving very quickly.

Poor AliExpress Vendor is asking me to wait, but no-one has ever received their items from this purgatory have they?

Cant recall if it was that one in particular but I have had multi month delays come eventually.

decline the wait. That is a fairly standard response from the vendors.

AliExpress is in some favour to the seller, once the delivery timer ticks down it sends payment. You need to act before that timer ticks down, the seller is trying to delay you.

AliExpress sends your money to the seller once you have clicked "confirm receipt" or when this timer ticks down.

Pending release is parcel purgatory. I have one in it now as well.  Already disputed it and should have a refund coming.  Been in there for 2 months.

I have never seen a "pending border clearance" tracking status on NZ Post before last month, but now I have 6 parcels stuck at this step. The oldest parcel has had this status since March 28th. 5 of the parcels are from Aliexpress, which I presume has been lost into the void. But another is a relatively expensive parcel from Australia, that was sent with Australia Post... hopefully that one will eventually be processed at least, but it has been 3 days so far.

I've seen this before and it's normally not anything to be concerned about. I had one package sent via Singapore Post in this state last week. It was cleared and delivered in a few days.

If you have a S... tracking number from AliExpress (specifically, Cainiao), use parcelsapp.com to see if there is a "Next tracking numbers" field. If there is, chances are it indicates Czech Post. If so, you probably won't be receiving those packages.

Thanks for the info... 3 of them are Czech Post :( I guess I will do a dispute once it is past the expected delivery time.

Put it in your calendar since they are not very proactive about telling you before it autoconfirms delivery.

This just happened to me as well!

2 Items from Aliexpress send from China with 2 Cainiao Tracking Numbers which at some stage changed to NZ Post Tracking numbers and than indicating that both of them send from Prague Czech Republic what a coincidence :-) Cainiao shows the items still in Transit from China :-0 while NZ Post shows them as "pending border clearance".

Contacted NZ Post but the items never arrived in NZ!!! Contacted both Sellers on Aliexpress asking for refund which both of them denied saying to contact New Zealand Post. I send back the email form NZ Post to both Sellers which stated:

"Thank you for your enquiry concerning the non-receipt of the Items posted to you.

We have made comprehensive checks on the Items, both electronically online and physically by depot and mail centre searches.

We regret to advise that the items could not be located.

Claims for compensation for the loss of international items can only be made by the sender from the country of origin.

bla bla bla bla bla

Kind Regards"

The Sellers still refused to refund so I opened a dispute with Aliexpress and finally got both Items refunded.

Watch out for Sellers telling you to cancel dispute!!! Aliexpress has you covered :-) But never ever cancel a dispute!!! Wait for Aliexpress to investigate and refund.

The only problem I have with all of this however is NZ Post actually saying that the Item is pending border clearance!!!! How t.. f... do they know that it is there!!!???
