There's confusion in here somewhere. I get it from Ascendia or Track24.

Log in to Amazon, go to the parcels tracking page, get the AW number there. Take that AW number and type into Ascendia or Track24 tracking. You can track it for a while there in the US, but it generally takes days for it to come up with the Aramex number. Think the parcel has to be in NZ, or submitted electronically to NZ customs or something. So yes, Aramex info only available  when stuff gets to NZ or when its handed over to Aramex, but its still earlier than the 'package being delivered today' bit.

The MX number is the Aramex number. Where do you get that from before Aramex email you "package is being delivered today"? The only tracking number I had until today was the Amazon.com / DPD tracking number which starts "AW".

Try https://uktracking.asendia.com/tracking-dpd.php?ref=AWXXXXXXXX (replace with your ref, obviously)

That works much better, thanks!

My second parcel which, according to Aramex, was on its way back to Amazon US at the end of December has disappeared.

Amazon US lists it as delivered on the 6th December so there is no tracking button available.

I can't track it on the Amazon site any longer as there is no record of the order. Looks like that's $100+ down the drain.

I've always found if an item didn't arrive Amazon provides a refund, and it's quite easy to get.

After 'chatting' with Amazon you can only get a refund for items not delivered within 30 days of the supposed delivery date.

My package was either still doing a circuit of New Zealand or on it's way back to Amazon US when the 30 days expired.

I have two Seagate hard drives ordered from Amazon US. They arrived in NZ on 26th January. As the order was over NZ$1000 I had to get a NZ Customs Importer Code. Five days later I received the code and my parcel was cleared by NZ Customs on 5th February. I have contacted Aramex who say that they haven't received the parcel yet. I'm beginning to get a bit stressed over it. Also contacted Amazon who promised that it will be delivered... sometime.

I placed an order on January 12th and it's been stuck at "Held by import customs" since the 19th. No reply from Aramax so got a refund from Amazon.

Here's something weird.

I ordered 2 separate packages from Amazon US on the 27th January and had confirmation emails for both on the 28th.

I then got 'Unable to deliver' emails for both on the 30th Jan and the 1st Feb despite using the same delivery details I had used successfully before. The packages hadn't even left the US.

At the same time I got refund emails for both packages and the refunds arrived in my account a few days later.

Then yesterday both packages arrived.

I seem to have had a freebie courtesy of Amazon US.

Apparently my parcel has arrived at Aramex's Christchurch depot at 5:36pm yesterday (Friday). Its on the move at last. Now, how long before I actually receive it?

@SJB You can either tell Amazon, or you can see if it continues. They might not ship to that address again.

@Movieman usually a day or two, they seem to prioritise Amazon parcels, I expect they have a contract with service levels.

Keep an eye on the 30 day limit though. As I wrote earlier in the thread I tried to get a refund after Amazon said my parcel had been delivered but it hadn't but it was over the 30 day limit so no refund.

Strangely it only seems to be the US. Ordering from Amazon UK has been ultra reliable.

Not that strange - AM US is the only one thats uses Aramex (I think, could be wrong, usually am).
