After considerable thought and looking at various chairs available in Aotearoa (not a huge range) and a long talk with my occupational therapist I have taken her professional advice and this morning ordered a Herman Miller Aeron chair. It will take a week or two to arrive.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

If you start smoking and stop immediately you'll save the money in under 4 months.

When I was moaning about the price my wife pointed a very valid point that made me feel silly. The price is about half a weeks salary.

Jesse Muligan on Nat Radio was talking to a secondhand bookseller the other afternoon who mentioned a customer asking for a discount. As the customer was a multimillionaire he was told he should be ashamed and the book wasn't for sale now.

Rather judgmental and not good customer service. However, I never asked for a discount. The advertised price was reasonable compared to other products

Maybe that's the reason why he's a multimillionaire and not a pleb like the rest of us.

I know the old saying is "Look after the pennies and the Pounds will look after themselves" but the guy wasn't yet a good customer so why should he expect a discount. I visit a lot of Op shops and you'd be surprised at how many people ask if there's any movement on price. This is for good/new condition items at already cheap prices.
