marmel: I fully agree with smaller fines and more demerits and I think the majority of police would agree.
Oblivian: Pushing ON on radar - infrequent and breif methinks.

When a cop is patrolling traffic all day then the 'pushing ON on radar' is not so infrequent and "breif" methinks.
I was just making an observation. Fiddling with *ANYTHING* while driving a car would surely be as equally dangerous. That's why I'm going to stop using my indicators ha ha ha...

marmel:bazzer:Satch:marmel: If I am following other traffic (which makes it very hard for oncoming drivers to see me) and flicking the radar on only when a vehicle comes into my view.....
I'm not interested in getting into the 'radar detectors should/should not be banned' debate, but the comment above does raise a question for me. How does a cop fiddling around with their radar while driving differ from a driver trying to operate their mobile phone while driving? Similarly dangerous I would expect?
I reckon! And how come the police are allowed to speed when they chuck their lights/sirens on but when I do it, I not only get a ticket for speeding but one for the lights too!
What are we talking about here, under car lights, spotlights or a full on mobile disco?
Native Pirihimana are not our nations police, and therefor you are not allowed to have lights/sirens, speed or pull people over.
