blakamin:
jaymz:

"There probably is no God, so stop worrying about it and enjoy your life"

I think that makes the most sense that I have seen in a long time!

They tried putting it on busses too, but some religious *damn strikethrough doesnt work* people complained

Pretty sure it was NZ Atheist bus

I thought it was cool too!

Yeah, some people just take it all too seriously.

I like this article, it has the following statement in it:

"The company suggested the complaints did not come from the general Christian community, but from ''extreme elements within that community''. "

Always the case, the minority ruin it for the majority.

well i wont be worrying.  Jesus said no man knows the day or hour, only His Father in heaven. Also in the Bible it tells us signs of the last days.  As in Days of Noah, rumours of wars, earthquakes. not sure about storms.  The start of this era would begin with the regathering of the Israelites to their homeland. That began in 1947 or 48 when Israel became a nation. Now this event could happen any day from now to 1000 years or more. we dont know so who cares if someone says end of world on particular date.   Edit to say just found it yes earthquakes floods famines, plagues and diseases all such that world hasnt seen before

Earthquakes, war, knowledge, etc are historic, present day, and future happenings. Been like this since man began.

yes earthquakes  etc have been in the past.  The ones the Bible talks about are ones such as never before seen.  The ones in end times will see massive casualties.  As far as knowledge just look how much it has advanced from 1900 to now and then look in past and see how much it advanced from say 1000 to 1900

Well, as long as it's filmed in HD and shown on Freeview and not Sky, I will be happy.

And if I miss it I can then always watch it on Blu-ray from where-ever/when-ever I will be at.

According to a far more reliable source, the planet won't be destroyed for another 5 billion years, and only then because gravity satellites will stop holding the sun back.

I read in the paper the other day that some smart guy has started a thriving business looking after the pets of rapturers. He swears he is an atheist so won't ascend and any helpers he hires are required to blaspheme so they won't ascend either. For a modest fee from the chosen ones, he promises to have someone check on their animals after they float away. Apparently he's making a good living from this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this Harold Camping guy predicted the end of the world once before, and it was 1994.

If there is a god (stressing the "if" here) - I'm sure he's laughing his omnipotend supernatural butt off right now.

There is a billboard in Hamilton with the following saying on it:

"There probably is no God, so stop worrying about it and enjoy your life"

Actually for a bunch of atheists, they don't sound very sure about it...
