Rikkitic:

Oh my god, they circumsised the rocket!

Don't know why that called to mind this verse from "The Good Ship Venus"

The cabin boy was Kipper

By Christ he was a nipper

We stuffed his axxx

With broken glass

And circumcised the skipper.

Gurezaemon:

Simply say "cargo.alien.reddish."

Being careful to enunciate the difference between "reddish" and "radish"

Definitely a problem with a NZild eccent.

The first is a park in Fukushima, Japan, and the second (with 'radish') a national park in Tocantins, Brazil.

I understand that the makers of What3Words took this sort of thing into account, having places with similar-sounding words well apart from each other to avoid confusion.

it must be a first but well done Bay of Plenty Regional Council who dropped my rates by $5 a week for this year. I doubt there are many other councils that have dropped their rates.

Presumably they've stopped any new infrastructure investment since they're going out of business soon.

Not to be negative or anything, but are you sure that the actual rates have decreased, and that you haven't e.g. finished paying off a Hot Swap Loan?

Misplaced a squash racquet which has very special once in a life time sentimental value and some person owned up to taking it by accident and returned it to me.

If I win lotto I'll make a point of building a car whose acceleration is provided by a Voitenko compressor. 0-20 km/s in 0.1s, no-one will ever beat that, and they'll have to some up with some new instantiation of Goodhart's Law to aim for instead.

β€œThe Rimac Nevera set a new 0-400kmh-0 record of 29.93 seconds,”

Insane.

not quiet 0-100

"All acceleration records were completed with a standard one-foot rollout"

after the 1ft of rollout the car is already traveling about 10Kmph

Its still impressive but its something they fail to mention in all their media which is annoying and slightly misleading

It takes 1000 to 1250 foot-pounds of force(torque) to break a human neck.

weight of a human head is about 11lb.

which is about 891 m/s2 or about 90G. Other body parts would likely break first, ribs for instance.

To equal 1g of acceleration, a car would need to get to 60mph in 2.74 seconds, roughly.

top-fuel dragster can go from 0-100 MPH is about 0.86 second. That kind of acceleration is worth about 5.3g
