My biggest gripe with the Stuff, Herald, etc is that the photo or video that appears at the top of the page often has absolutely nothing to do with the article you have just clicked on.
freitasm:
NZ Herald has a good article - or so it seemed. The headline is not a clickbait. But the opinion is empty:
Was a very quick read indeed.
Can't load the boot when you do that, so it's pretty much useless to back in IMO.

Crime happened? Here is a stock police car image. Person injured, here is a stock ambulance photo.

It is safer to drive forward out of a carpark as you have a much better view of any approaching vehicles.
I do feel unsafe reversing back into a small space hence my preference for forward into and reversing out. I think I am more likely to hit another car reversing back that I am to hit a car going forward out. Historically I've hit other cars reversing out and misjuding distances etc -- but never had an accident going forwards out.
My next car may well have a reversing camera so will be interesting to see if that changes things.

Headline: NZ Petrol prices creep past $3L
https://www.1news.co.nz/2026/03/06/nz-petrol-prices-creep-past-3-a-litre-amid-middle-east-conflict/
Start reading it then quick to figure out they are talking about the price of 95 and looking at areas where fuel pricing is high, 91 is still sub $3

95 is still petrol. And if you were using 100 or 98 that is even higher. Just because one is not over 3 yet does not make anything wrong with the headline.

Two-vehicle crash closes SH1 near Bay of Plenty
Nope RNZ, it's not even close to the Bay of Plenty. It's literally on the shores of Lake Taupo. They seem to have an obsession with anything that happens near Taupo being moved into the Bay of Plenty.

Maybe Lloyd needs to up his prompting skills.

Yes, because without a call out, some people might have thought it was an actual photograph...

I only count 6 waves in that pic, can't AI even infer that there should be 9 waves to match the query.
Ya know, inference?

If only!
