There are two or three standard tests in widespread use. One is the Simard. It never changes. Another has a couple of variants, mainly different addresses. The tests are all on-line and can easily be memorised and practiced. Draw a clock. Remember an address. Create and memorise a shopping list or a zoo population. 30 is a perfect score. I have done them all. My doctor insists on the Simard. Good thing because it never changes. Apple, ink, nail, bird, book, ticket, tree, chair, house, ship. I will never be able to forget that!

Well. This is not AI. This is home automation. Alexa+ introduces AI, but it's not available in New Zealand.

"Meet the Hawke’s Bay woman using AI to run her retirement village townhouse"

“Alexa, turn the radio on.”

In her Havelock North retirement village townhouse, the 79-year-old has turned artificial intelligence into part of her daily routine.
Alexa turns on the lights, boils the jug, starts the TV, plays music in the bedroom and adds items to her shopping list.

It's a losing battle. The media have for years distorted the technical meaning of meanings of words into something Mr & Mrs Average can relate to. e.g. The distortion of "hacker" from its original meaning.

I can’t be bothered reading a story I’m not interested in, just to find a typo.

Tell us what the problem is.

No, Stuff. An estate is all the patrimony left after some died.  If this mother wants to cut the son, she's alive. This is just a family dispute.

I'm interested to know if that's how it is presented in the original document. The intro kind of implies it's a direct quote.

The press release is here, so I'd say those quotes are from a live event instead.
