Are a lot more sellers now offering UBI as the default shipping option or is it my imagination/because I'm looking at different items?

Anyway my recent experiences so far. (I live in Auckland.)

My most impressive order is one from the anniversary sale. Ordered on 2021.03.30. Sent on 2021.04.03 via UBI. Arrived today 2021.04.12 from Direct Mail via Universal E-Business Co., Ltd. Before COVID-19, I wouldn't be that surprised for such a delivery time frame for a tracked order but I was for this. It was for a 1.2KG CPU cooler so perhaps this was partly the reason, total price including tax was NZ$64.00. Also this item is a bit weird. There are a bunch of sellers selling the exact same thing. I don't mean the same SKU/product type, they're clearly selling the same stock as all of them had only 2 left and once I bought it they went down to 1 left. Further most of them have multiple "ships from" options (some more than others) like Australia, US etc which are semi fake. Well I mean I guess they really ship from Australia etc like mine sort of did but they're clearly not sitting in a US etc warehouse since there was 2 remaining for each warehouse now down to one. I don't know if this means UBI has some set-up to deliver them more quickly but it's not like all of them were even saying they were going to send via UBI, some claimed AliExpress Standard Shipping. (No ships from NZ option of course, I shipped from China.) It seems to have left China "Uplifted from Transshipment Hub" on 2021.04.07 before arriving at the Auckland airport on 2021.04.08. Interesting it was also "Export Customs Cleared" on 2021.04.03

I did order another item a kitchen scale with built in lithium-ion battery. From different seller but ordered at same time and also shipped via UBI although was supposed to be China Post Registered Air Mail. (Not going to complain since i don't really care.) Was actually sent on 2021.04.01. But it only just departed from origin port on 2021.04.11.

Final item was another cheap bluetooth dongle. Seller asked me to cancel, again I ignored them. They "sent" it with a few hours remaining via customised shipping with a SYAET i.e. Sunyou number. Although they had claimed they would send it via ChinaPost Registered Airmail and I was avoiding Sunyou and Ciaonao I think I'll be kind and provided it arrives I won't complain since it's not like I paid more, I didn't find any cheaper sellers.

Also made an order during the January sale, this was used Ryzen so over NZ$237 including tax. Ordered on 2021.01.15, sent on 16 via AliExpress Standard Shipping. Arrived on 2021.02.23.

My 11.11 orders (order on the 13th), those that arrived arrived after about 2 months. This included one China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus (中国邮政平常小包+), one China Post Registered Air Mail (中国邮政挂号小包), one AliExpress standard shipping (AliExpress 无忧物流-标准). All three took very similar times unlike in the past where fully tracked stuff tended to arrive faster. The Registered Air Mail and Ali Express standard shipping both were fully tracked of course. Registered one sent on 2020.11.20 and arrived 2021.01.13. Standard shipping one sent on 2020.11.17 and arrived on 2021.01.11. (As normal, standard was from Direct Mail via UCL and Registered Air Mail just relabeled with NZ post sticker. AliExpress standard one was a torch with lithium ion battery, not sure if that affected things.) Small Packet Plus sent on 2020.11.17, arrived I think on 2021.01.08, this was a screen protector. (I believe I found it on 10th January so it probably arrived on Friday my most recent mail day.)

Had others that never arrived so far. One 卖家自定义-中国 customised shipping which seems to be SYRM Sunyou Registered Mail and claimed to arrived in NZ after about a week during peak holiday season and was even delivered. Obviously not really. I think this may have been a completely fake tracking as the seller asked me to pay more and I ignored them so they then provided this. (It was keycaps for about US$4 total including tax.)

Another one also used customised shipping and sent a AQ.....CN number. I never worked out what this was supposed to be. The weird thing is this also seems to have fake tracking info which again supposedly arrived in NZ in about a week. However even weirder is that this info seemed to come from China Post or China Post EMS? I mean it could have been a real parcel to someone else like dodgy sellers sometimes do except there was never any delivery information which seems very weird if it was tracked to NZ and so fast. This was a <US$2 bluetooth dongle so definitely not sent via EMS.

Final two were Cainiao Super Economy Global (菜鸟超级经济Global). These still haven't arrived. Had given up but from recent comments maybe they'll either arrive soon or in a month or two.

Did someone here receive any parcel from Cainiao Super Economy ?

I see sellers now removing this carrier option.

Is ebay`s Standard international shipping any better?

I am finding shipping now is significantly faster than last year via standard post and Ali Express shipping. I am getting my items about 2-3 weeks after ordering. Last year it look close to 3 months.

My only outstanding order departed 8 days after yours, so hopefully that means it'll turn up late next week. Fingers crossed...

I just realised... two months to arrive and I ordered the wrong model of parts for my robot vacuum

@timmmay, I just received mine after making the same mistake, so happy to share them.

What parts did you get and what did you need? I ordered 1S parts and needed 1C parts. I got brushes and filters.

I've ordered a small order of 1C parts to check they fit before I buy more.

I've got a similar set on the way, should land in about two months! Shame I didn't know before I ordered mine. If the ones that arrive work I can buy them from you if you like, much faster shipping from NZ :)

No worries, I'll definitely use them, I offered to split in case you couldn't wait for your parts to arrive :)

Appreciate that, I can wait, or buy locally if anything actually fails. There's life in them yet, my Mum's one is a bit worse because of lots of pet hair.
