For those in Auckland: how long was the wait between the certificate being printed and receiving it by post? And are the certificates sent from Wellington?

from what I read 1-3 days

DIA update application time frame :https://www.govt.nz/browse/passports-citizenship-and-identity/nz-citizenship/how-to-apply-for-nz-citizenship/application-timeframes/

they add "Average unallocated citizenship applications by month" which very useless information , I think most people are interested in remain unallocated citizenship applications by month ,

the information they put don't give us any idea where are they currently in the backlog , I don't what are they thinking :P

Hmm I'm slightly confused, about the average here. What is the average of? Daily, weekly, maybe it's a rolling average? if rolling how many days, months etc...

Does it make sense or I'm just overthinking?

I’m a bit confused so appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the below:

We sent our application last day of March this year and it was delivered first of April. I thought that’s when the application is considered lodged but apparently no. DIA sent documents back last day of May, does that mean they have added another two months to my application just but getting to it so late? Or is it 4 to 6 weeks before when they sent the originals back?

I contacted but no response yet.

DIA’s standard timeframe to send your documents back is 4-6 weeks however you can always call/email DIA n check the lodgement date of your application in their system.
