Was driving along Judgeford about to head over Transmission Gully last night when my petrol light came on - rookie mistake, I didn't take notice of it before setting off. Didn't want to risk trying to get to my destination so raced into Challenge Pauatahanui to put $40 in. Pump is on prepay so went inside to pay first, then assuming the pump would stop when it got to $40 I wasn't looking until I saw it tick over $50. Went inside to pay the extra and the guy said "don't worry about it." It was his mistake he sent the request to the wrong pump, otherwise it would have stopped.

My Pharmacist dropping my medication around to me at home because getting down to pick it up is a hill too high right now and my wife is away on business.

That used to be quite normal. My 1st after school job as a 12yr old was delivering prescriptions from local chemist. That and recycling the little brown bottles for reuse.

It's still very normal for many community pharmacies.

My smile today comes from my little fluffy dog who had a groom last week and is feeling the cold snap.
He came up to me this morning and just stood there trying to communicate something.

Turned out that the something he wanted (after a lengthy process of elimination) was his little argyle hoodie.
As soon as we slipped it on him, he trotted off to eat, sleep and fart contentedly.

I'm imagining a smaller version of this, with no arms, and maybe ear holes.

Does living in the desert make you appreciate New Zealand more?

Not really. I’ve always found these sorts of things wonderful. We’re also fortunate to be able to visit other countries frequently and they all have different things that are really neat.

When we come back we’re always conflicted but it’s more by being a long way from family than the country if I’m being honest.

The roofers stripping off the roof found a professional Sandvik Swedish hack saw and a folding ruler sitting under the iron. Been there since 1978.

Exciting Book Nooks. I've just ordered one (actually … two) to build. 😇
