ISP's which have a major outage and do not update their status page or phone system!
"There are no known issues on the 2degrees Broadband network"
Down for last 20 minutes at least - NO sending or receiving email from ISP account! (2D SMTP / But don't use them for incoming main mail)

So just email is broken? Then the message is correct, there isnt anything wrong with broadband, just the email which I am sure they dont care about since only legacy mailboxes exist.

It can take time to know there is an issue.
Is the issue on your cabinet or national?
Is it your issue only?
What I do is restart the router, and/or ONT. No joy. Everything is down, bugger. Its highly likely not to be my issue so I wait, no point calling the RSP who has 3000 calls waiting. When they know they will fix it. Its a highly efficient process for me, and rarely fails.

Logging the fault can be benificial if you want something out of them. Not too much use on a residential no SLA connection, but if you have something with that or need to get the data on your mobile thing to happen like vodafone do, then enduring the long hold for help is something you gotta do.

Agree, if you are business you have a comeback, but for most of us who are consumers not business, I know that many will call in, I know that if they arent already aware (and the RSP probably is, they have network tracking) then there is no value me hanging on for a good while. Sure, if everyone did that, no one will call, but we are humans, I rely on the faithful.... Yay for Facebook downtime...!
Ridiculous changes in daylight in TV shows etc.
Subject enters house in what is clearly dark night. 2 seconds later, there they are walking into the kitchen in bright sunlight....very annoying.
Patronising messages from organisations you buy things from.
Just got an insurance renewal notice that says "We've loved taking care of you this year..."
Actually, no! You haven't done a thing because I haven't made any claims or even queries. All I know is that my premiums have increased about 200% over the last 6 or 7 years.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
How addicted my partner is to her smartphone. If we go out anywhere, I have to almost smack it out of her hand to stop her using it sometimes.

Phone Zombies, in general.
Airport security queues. I fly out early Monday morning, everyone is kind of doing the same thing, up early, for work, get it done.
Return flight home on Friday from tourist destination. 35 minutes standing in security line watching passenger after passenger pull coins out, take jacket off, laptops out at the XRAY machine... Ugh, I just want to get home!
In other news, the flight had a rather spectacular lurch that sent my heart rate close to max!
