Rikkitic:

Does living in the desert make you appreciate New Zealand more?

After only a couple of weeks in Perth, I was amazed at the vibrant green colour of NZ.

The fact that Pak'n'Save are carrying nice firm green feijoas, not the brown mushy paste you usually get.

Gave someone the gift of control-h today which made her super happy. So much so she was over the moon and out of the solar system.

Finding a train connection for a longish trip that has one less connection to make, leaves an hour later while arriving at the other end at the same time, and costs half as much as the original would have when I looked it up a few weeks ago.

That there's an Authentic Official Store on Aliexpress. You know it's got to be legit because it's both authentic and official.

After my WOF and receiving VTNZ comments, discovering there's a DIY fix ($30) to my windscreen chip instead of taking it to someone to fix for $80-120. Although apparently someone can do it for $40. I'll call Monday.

I opt for the glass buy out option on my insurance. All windscreen repairs are excess free.

A new breakfast tray - with a balanced folding handle. This means I can now enjoy breakfast on submarines in heavy seas without spilling anything. 😋

Last week I found my old tenor saxophone in the attic and brought it back to a playable condition. After yesterday afternoon with old friends, it looks like I'll be hearing it again and more often. 😎🎷

Just getting a nice smile from someone as I go through my day.

It reminds me of an absolutely fantastic saying...

If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours!

I'm not sure who this quote is from, but it's something to the effect of "The definition of a gentleman is someone who can play the bagpipes, but doesn't."
