Behodar:

There's a name for that; Fermat's Last Post.

"A post to a bug tracker, mailing list or forum in which the author claims to have found a simple fix or workaround for a bug, but never says what it is and never shows up again to explain it (even after others have been puzzling over the bug for years)."

Thanks for hint - the existence of this theorem (despite it's mathematical use for sure) was really new to me!

People who raised questions or ask for help in forums but never tell how their issue finally has been solved.

So - you’ll let us know when this gets sorted.... ? 😁

Sure. I already have postulated the answer and handed it over to @PeterReader who will kindfully publish it in the forum in case I don't return to GZ for 3 month. cool

With the MX mouse you flick the scroll wheel in Chrome (or wherever) and if you press control before its finished scrolling it changes the zoom setting.

I hate that freewheeling.

I loves me some free wheeling.

freitasm: People who eat at their work desks.

People who fart at their work desks.

Someone near me (pretty sure I've narrowed it down) has been doing some pretty bad ones go for the last couple of weeks. Passing gas is a natural thing and I get that it happens (although I fear this person is suffering from a serious condition and needs medical attention), but when your farts smell like something that would be banned under the Geneva Protocol, please get up from your desk and take a short walk to the restroom and let it go in there.

Do you tell them?

I eat at my desk all the time, as do my work-mates.  It has never occurred to me that this could annoy someone to be honest.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

The worst part of eating at your desk is getting all those sesame seeds and bits of mince n’ cheese and flakey-puff stuck down in the innards of ya keyboard.

It’s interesting that unlike other external senses, the human sense of smell is totally non-directional. There’s no such thing as stereodour.

What I find disturbing about smells, particularly bad ones, is that there are foreign particles entering two of my orifices and I have no control over it (other than walking away of course).

True, but looking around when you smell something can reveal who's currently at their desk, and after a few days you can narrow it down to certain people who are always present when it happens.
