it looks like I'll be hearing it again and more often. 😎🎷

And now I'm smiling because I usually live approximately 18,000km from you :-).

Weren't they a streaming platform?

I'd certainly listen to broadcasts if they were on, subject to who was on and the topic at the time. Some of the talkback hosts on ZB seem to have weird ideas, although it was refreshing to hear one say he'd changed his mind on Three Strikes legislation after a caller phoned in with actual statistics.

Not radio station, just streaming audio of angry old men.

Last week I found my old tenor saxophone in the attic and brought it back to a playable condition. After yesterday afternoon with old friends, it looks like I'll be hearing it again and more often. 😎🎷

Are we expecting a "something small that annoys you" from your neighbours ? 😁

Nope, but that would be the case if I played drums and percussions again, which I did quite ambitiously in my youth in brass band battles (even live on the radio). 😎

did it need an overhaul?

Yep, I had to have two springs and three pads replaced. Fortunately, we have two music workshops here where you can do it yourself with the help of a master craftsman.

I'm not sure who this quote is from, but it's something to the effect of "The definition of a gentleman is someone who can play the bagpipes, but doesn't."

Nice saying, but I prefer gentlemen who can and do play the bagpipes skilfully. 😁

I was expecting a link to the Badpiper. If there aren't flames shooting out of your bagpipes, you're just pretending.

That I bought Mighty River Power and Genesis Energy shares at IPO.

I posted that back in 2019.  Still smiling, shareprice has been relatively flat but they still pay good divvies twice a year.

Today's dividend from Genesis means we have now received more than what we originally paid for them (and they're still about 70% up from our original buy price.)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Finally got around to putting my coffee machine on a wifi smart plug. Waking up in the morning to a coffee machine that's ready to go and not having to wait for 25mins for it to warm up makes me smile. Also turned it on from the car with a "hey Siri" call while on the way home yesterday.
